ollantaytambo hotels
People have suggested the pakaritampu Hotel but it seems out of the center of town and not too authentic. Any suggestions?.
|
Ollanta isn't very big and Pakaritampu is just a few minute walk to the ruins. We stayed at Hotel Sauce which is right by the ruins - much smaller than Pakaritampu so a much different experience. We really loved it (the rooms with the ruin views are magical).

Thank you Hotel Sauce seems to be booked but I liked where it was better
|
Also El Albergue
I didn't feel it was a problem staying on the road to the train station. In town there is Apu Lodge. |
It is a 6 minute walk to the plaza from Pakaritampu, or you can do it in 60 seconds on a tuk tuk for $1. its a 3 minute walk back down.
I don't think anywhere is Ollata is going to be much more "authentic" than the next. Most of the lodgings are pretty new and for tourists. |
apulodge.com my fav for best price nice folks great reviews
casa-andina.com Sacred Valley Private Collection best for moderate to upscale www.libertador.com.pe Tambo Del Inka newest best Pakaritampu pricey cottages pretty close to the train station overrated lots more noise and crowds lot of fake touts/agents "Destination Experts" on Tripadvertizer especially Happy Hunting, |
The fake tout on Tripadvertizer pushes Kuychi Rumi, not Pakaritampu.

Thank you all!
