Must Do's in Salta?
My bf and I are going to Salta for 4 days in July. We are in our late 20's and are up for anything that is fun. Any suggestions of things to do? Places to go? Must sees?

All great suggestions from flintstones. I also enjoyed the horseriding in the hills around San Lorenzo. It was organised by teh guesthouse we stayed at
http://www.lacasahernandez.com.ar/ Well worth considering if you have not already booked a place to stay. Not sure how viable it would be in teh time available, but Cachi is alos worth a visit. |
What's the ETA for your B&B, crellston? Just kidding. LOL!!

Four days are not enough to see CACHI, Crellston... but I feel they will have a lot to see in those four days... Almost teenagers, caould get a harder trip! But not much time...
I am also waiting for you to let us know your adcances in the B&B! LOL! Flintstones. |
Thank you for all the responses. Do you have any information on specific wineries to visit, paragliding or zip-lining? Also--sorry, I know this is a lot--local restraunts that have exceptional food?
Should we rent a car? Thanks! :) |
In Cafayate do not miss NANNI, Finca Las Nubes, Domingo Hermanos... Uhmmm taste the late harvet at Nanni and the rose in Las Nubes, do not miss the goat cheese factory also. Great combination cheese-wine... Renting a van with dirver is teh best for 12 people...

Avrooster and flintstones thanks for your contuing interest in our business planning!! Unfortunately we have had to delay our plans as a couple of elderly relatives here in the UK are seriously ill and we are remaining here, probably until the end of the year when we will review our position (although we may return on an expeditionary visit to search for locations at some point this year).
I am thinking of places on the NW loop some of which we have already visited like Cachi and Cafayate, other we have yet to see. Another place we liked was Chicoana but just as important as location is the property itself and I confess, I was struggling to get my head around the workings of the Argentine property market which did not seem to operate under any sort of normal market principals. One other concern is the stae of Argentine politics and the direction of teh economy (i.e. is Argentina about to experience another 2002 syle devaluation? Decisions, decisions!! Anyway you do both of course have an open invitation to the opening whenever that may be... |
A suggestion??
Angastaco! Nothing else there and a lot to do! If I could I would get something there... ans I know what I am talking about. Flintstones... |
