Meal pricing

I am planning a trip to Peru for Feb, and am working on a budget, any thoughts on average meal prices in Lima and Cusco for lunches and dinners, all breakfasts have been included with accommodations. We are happy with local and mid-level dining, don't need gourmet options.

Hi Jeff!

I visited Peru last November, if you go to a regular restaurant, nothing fancy, the average price for a meal will be: 25 to 30 soles for a main course, around 16 soles for a soup, this is in both Lima and Cusco. The US dollar was around 3.23 soles at the time. I

Hope it helps!

Cady :)

A Menu Del Dia is usually eaten at lunch and generally around 15 new soles. Most likely consisting of a soup or salad. Dinner maybe 25-40 soles.for 2-3 courses. It is entirely possible to eat a lot cheaper 8-10 NS at markets and street stalls, ceviche, pollo asado etc.
