Manufacturer of alpaca clothes!

Hey guy,
I'll travel to Cusco ans La Paz to buy some clothes to sell them before christmas in Europe. Therefore I'm looking for possibilities to buy in higher amount and for a lower price. It would be perfect to find an producer, to be sure that the money I pay gets also to the workers.
I'd like to trade fair and get a good connection, maybe for many years!

What do you think, where should I go?

I'm happy about any kind of information!

There are a number of fair trade places in La Paz and chances are you will do better there than in Cusco, which actually isn't much of a manufacturing center (Arequipa is).

You can start here

When I was traveling in Bolivia I met a French woman who was traveling to buy items for a store in Paris...and getting paid...lucky her!

Also look for traders from around Tarabuco in the tourist area.

Good idea to do a little research of fair pricing before you arrive.

And how is this tourism-related, if I may ask?

Pe_Terre Aug 21st, 2015 11:22 AM

@mlgb: I would prefere not to buy from a trader, because that makes it intransparent and more expensive.

@avrooster: you may, but I don't understand your question.

The question is quite simple: This is a tourism forum. I fail to understand how your question belongs here.

See here http://www.fodors.com/faq/joining.cfm#join2 rules 3 and also 4.
