Machu Picchu Trip Report!
I just got back from a trip to Peru and Bolivia, and wanted to share about my experience in Machu Picchu. I took the train up and back, and stayed overnight in the town. I highly recommend it, as there is a lot to do in the area that many people miss if they go on a day trip from Cuzco or the Sacred Valley.
I was lucky with good weather when I visited the Inca sites, as it was raining the day before and the day after. I spent a few hours walking around the ruins, and found them to be really spectacular. You can see them on your own, or take a guided tour, which is helpful with the details and history.
