Liquids on domestic flights?
 

Hi! Does anyone know what the rules are for liquids on domestic flight in Peru? We are so conditioned to remove all liquids from carry on luggage, but it would sure be more convenient if we didn't have to worry about it! Thanks!

We did three domestic flights within Peru in the last two weeks ... in two instances, we noticed a pile of liquids and lotions (of varying sizes; definitely bigger than the 3 oz allowance) near the security gates ... most of what was in the piles were bottles of water, soda, etc. No problems with my little 3-1-1 bag with hand lotion, mouthwash, etc.

They follow the same rules as the U.S., but instead of 3 ounces, they describe it as 100 ml, since they're metric. For all practical purposes, it's the same amount. Put any such containers in a zip-lock plastic bag, just like you do in the U.S.

What might be different, and I don't remember if this was the case in Peru, but it is in a lot of countries, is that any liquid beverages you buy beyond security to drink, you can't take on board the plane with you. Finish that bottle of water, or leave it behind in many countries.
