Itinerary Help - Brazil or Chile

Hi

I have two weeks after an Antarctica cruise to spend somewhere in South America, and have narrowed it down to either Brazil or Chile. I will be travelling alone and would prefer not to do a tour.

As I only have a short time period I was thinking of doing one of the below two options, though as I dont have anything booked yet (except my flight home from Santiago) I am open to suggestions

Brazil - Sao Paulo to Rio de Janeiro with stops along the way (probably Ubatuba, Paraty and Ilha Grande)
or
Chile - Lake District

I like warm weather, nature, hiking, swimming and am also hoping to have a few days to just relax.

Last year I went to Patagonia (Torres del Paine and a few days in El Chalten and El Calafate) and really loved it, so not too sure if the Lake district will be quite similar scenery wise and I should go to Brazil for something different.
