Is anyone else travelling to Argentina or Chile in Jan/Feb ?
 

I was just reading the thread on gtgs ( get togethers and started to think about my own positive experiences in meeting other Fodor people. I'll be in parts of Chile and Argentina in January and February. .
I wonder if anyone else is going to be there on vacation and would like to meet for a mini get together.
Let me know your plans and perhaps we can work something out to have dinner or lunch.

I wish, but we won't be in BA until near the end of February. I'll be eagerly reading trip reports from others right up until that point.

Susan I will be in BA the last 2 weeks in Feb. Since I live near Toronto, it would be really funny to meet that far from home!

I will be travelling through out Chile and Argentina in Jan and the first half of Feb.

I'm in BA Jan 20 to 26, then again Feb 14 and 15.
Also other parts of Argentina and Chile, so would be interested too.
We are from near Ottawa.

Let's see if we can narrow it down. I don't know what time I'm arriving on the 14th. SO maybe ther 15th.

UNfortunately I finish my Chile portion on Jan 31.

Feb 15th will be our last day & night in BA. (We fly out on the red eye Feb 16th) I would love to join you all for a Fodor's GTG. Lunch or dinner would be fine by us.
It would such fun to put faces to all the people that we share our travel info with. :>)

Marnie, I know you have written extensive reports on your time in Argentina. I will have to make myself a cup of tea, and settle in to do a lot of great reading.
I'm looking forward to rereading your posts.
Sorry you won't be there on the 15th, but Salta is so much better!! I was there last year and loved the whole area.
I was so tempted to go back to that area this year, but wanted to see more of the country.

Perhaps we could meet for lunch sometime in the last week of Feb.

We won't be there until Feb 26, so it looks like it won't work for us - but post some trip reports - I'll be reading :)

We do BA Jan 20 -26 then Mendoza Jan 27-30 then Vina del Mar Chile Jan 30 -Feb 4 then down to Puerto Varas, lake crossing then Bariloche, then El Calafate and back to BA Feb 14 staying at Hotel Carsson with GAP Tours, leaving Feb 16 to Salta and onward with tour.

christo, We are from near Ottawa too. Check out my thread about having a GTG in B A.in January. Both threads were started around the same time I guess but maybe we can get together Jan 20-26 even if we do something else before. I'm in B A Jan. 8 to Feb. 6

Kodi, Feb 15th is great for me. But, I am flexible. I am arriving Jan 16th & leaving Feb 16th. I will be in Iguazu Feb 2nd to 4th. i would like to have a firmed up date as I am meeting various parties in BA. Also, going for a couple of over night trips. I will email you tomorrow so, that you have my email address.

It looks like Feb 15 is a good day. I'm just rushing off to work... but will report back later. Looks like Canadians are anxious to skip the winter!!!

Yes, We want to go to where it is warm & sunny!
We had our first snow fall last night. It is now melting as temps have risen over the freezing mark.

Thank goodness we are having warmer than seasonal temps. I'm glad I'm not out west !!

Me too, It's too bad we are leaving on Feb 6th so missing that GTG. If anybody else is around Jan 9 -Feb 5 go to my other thread and well try to get something going.
