Ideas for add-on trip in Sept. after being in Buenes Aires

We'll visit Buenes Aires Sept. 12-14 and would like to see another part of Argentina for 3-4 days. Ideas for that time of year? We like the outdoors--hike, bike, or beaching it!!! We've never been to this area of the world.

For 3-4 days it would be a perfect opportunity to check out te Sierras de Córdoba. Only 8 hours by bus from Buenos Aires. Just take a night bus from Retiro and you arrive fresh in the morning in Córdoba city. Here in the sierras you have many possibilities to hike, horseback ride, mountain bike, in fact all adventure sports you feel like doing. No sea coast though, but enough rivers and lakes to take a refreshing swim. And September is a perfect month for a visit.

Have fun!

Dearest BeaRRCCC the NW is a great choice. The landscape is amazing. Nothing you can see anywhere will be like the NW. Sceneries, wildlife, and the ebst weather...
Do not miss it....

Beaching isn’t such a great option in Argentina...but if thats what you're looking for you could go to Rio for a few days... short flight and not expensive! It completely depends what you're willing to spend... You could go to Iguazu, Bariloche or El Calafate for a few days and you could make the most of outdoorsy activities like trekking, horse riding, skiing... they are all nature reserves and extremely impressive - lakes, glaciers, mountains. You would have to fly to these places, which would set you back an extra $250 but they're amongst the wonders of the world and you will NOT be disappointed...!
How long are you gonna be in BA for? The possibilities here are endless! Let me know what kind of thing you like and I can give you some info!

Can you advise the best way to book internal air travel in Argentina? Will I get the best fare by booking before I leave home or waiting until I am in BA?

OOOPS,

Lan is one of the largest carriers in SA. It is the Chilean national carrier.

http://www.aerolineas.com.ar/arg/mai...=1&idIdioma=en is the Argentine national carrier.

I would suggest to explore the NW rather than beaching. You will not regret. The beauty of the area deserves a visit.
We have enough in Argentina to catch your attention...
