How to get from Sao Paulo to Santos
 

Hi! I am going to visit my daughter who is an exchange student in Santos and need to get myself from the airport to Santos on a shoe string. What do you suggest?

How about taking a bus from the airport? I understand there at least two services that run from Guarulhos to Santos.

Yes! the bus would be perfect but where do I find it? I know there is a metro station (Tete?) but I dont speak any Portuguese and was hoping to know which bus and if it left from the airport. Do you know about that, Carlos?

There are, or at least were two that left from the front of the terminals and run direct to Santos. Expresso Brasileiro which leaves from outside Terminal and runs four services a day and Translitoral which runs through to Santos and also Guarujá. Buses do run to Santos from the Tietê rodoviaria but it's a fair old trip in from the airport. No need.

You might not speak Portuguese but I presume your daughter will and she should be able to conform details with her host family/ flatmates/ classmates.

oops.... Expresso Brasileiro leaves outside Terminal 1. Translitoral from outside Terminal 2.
