Getting from Punta Arenas, Chile, to Ushuaia, Argentina

Flying one way from Punta Arenas to Ushuaia is very expensive and complicated and we would prefer to do the long bus ride instead. And we are finding this to be the most daunting part of our trip planning! We would rather not wait until our arrival in P. A. to buy the tickets but cannot find any way to do it now. We can barely find detailed information and certainly not any verification! There are no responses to our emails and our Spanish is not good. Can someone shed light on this process? Thanks!

My experience in Punta Arenas is the same, even for bus travel within the same country (to TdP). If you can't find the information online a travel agent may be your best option.

I was able to use my hotel who had a travel agency attached, but still had to pick up the ticket in person to complete the process.

Hola,

If you're still looking for information on taking a bus from Punta Arenas to Ushuaia, there are 2 companies that I know of that offer the service. One is Buses Pacheco (http://www.busespacheco.com/rutas.htm) and the other is Orbit Patagonia (http://orbitpatagonia.cl/servicios_1.html). You should be able to book the tickets in advance with either company by calling or by using the contact link on the website (Orbit). Hope this helps!

Saludos,
