Galapagos: what if you "gotta go"?
No where have I read anything about what you do if you "gotta go" on one of the Galapagos Islands? I know you have to stay on trail, so sounds like you just have to hold it. We're heading there next week (Yay!!!!) so would appreciate your advice. I am stocked with Urinelle funnels, wipes and small ziplock baggies...I'm a woman, by the way. That makes it more complicated. Appreciate your advice!

You just hold it. I can't remember being out over 3 hours and some of the days was snorkeling so you have the ocean handy. something I kinda worried about before the trip but I had no problem.

Thanks Martha, sounds like I just need to grin & bear it...and lay off 2 cups of coffee in the am.

You'll be hot and likely sweating a bit, so that will help too - more likely to be a tad dehydrated rather than needing to pee.

Depends?
That issue never came up when I've been there. I did make sure I went just before departure and it can be fairly warm, as was mentioned, so you can sweat out a lot of liquid. If you are concerned, I'd ask the agent or cruise operator. I don't think they want you going on the island, but for wet landings, maybe you could take advantage of the waves. Have a great trip. |
