Foreign expat owned lots of complaints on the boards...

did mine with Ecoventura www.guanguiltagua.com got

GREAT discount direct with a local under $3k best ship for me.

also short off season cruise on SeaMan II from $895 with them

MANY scammers the motorsailers have roaches bunk beds seasick

prone AVOID like Archipel Samba Fragata Eden etc...

watch out for all the "Destination Experts" on TripAdvertizer

agnency owner scammers who massively overcharge so caveat

emptor.... Linblad and Xpedition are the best big ships

usually lots more cruisecritic.com

saexplorers.org/clubhouses/quito good info also...

Happy Planning BE CAREFUL!

Luxury Class [Alta] [Anahi] [Athala] [Beluga] [Coral I] [Coral II] [Eric, Letty, Flamingo I] [Evolution] [Explorer II] [Isabela II] [Lammer Law]

Above you luxury Class Eric Flaming Lety best guides itinerary

not much more than your lower class ship and TONNES better.

use only these above for best local upscale luxury ships...

Happy Travels!

We booked with CNH Tours and found them very responsive. They used to live in the islands so know them very well. They did not overcharge and we've never seen negative comments about them (except from qwovadis, who seems to have a grudge).

Hello - I am starting to gather some information for a trip to Ecuador including the Galapagos and I would like to ask for some clarification.
In one of the responses to this post, the user mentions "Ecoventura www.guanguiltagua.com " as if it were the same company but when I look these up they appear to be two different companies?
Am I missing something? Can someone clarify for me?

They are two different companies. Ecoventura owns the boats the Eric, Letty, and Flamingo. We booked one of them with CNH Tours but you can book directly with Ecoventura. The Guanguiltagua company is also a middleman; they gave the poster a lot of discounts so now he advertises for them.

Thanks - I had read many good reviews for Guanguiltagua here and on TA by others as well and seeing this new name got me confused.
BTW - which ship did you sail on and do have a trip report anywhere?

Also saw a lot of comments about Guanguiltagua but so many come from first time posters who never post again it really made us wonder. We were on the Eric, but the boats are all the same. I think usually one is designated for families so the kids are all together. No trip report--we've been busy with real life again but yeah it's a good idea to post one.

Yes, I did notice that some were first time and limited postings too.
It's so hard to get good info sometimes.
If I have any questions I hope you don't mind if I reach out to you.
