Galapagos in June?

I am planning a trip to the Galapagos. Right now it looks like we can travel in early June for various reasons, but it doesn't look like the best time for wildlife (turtles, bird mating and hatching seasons, etc). Have any of you been to the Galapagos in June, and how was it? What bird/animal/whale sights did you see? Any mating displays, bird or turtle hatching? We are planning on an 8 day catamaran cruise. Thanks in advance!

Congrats on your trip...

http://www.weather2travel.com/climat...-galapagos.php ·

Was there in July several years ago lots of wildlife...

although you are right more mating activity in fall

www.galapagosXpeditions.com good local provider

Good deals discounts on SeaMan II and Nina cats

Eric Flamingo Lety boats also best itinerary locals

careful with the many expat scammers and mono motorsailers

if you are prone to seasickness they are the worst boats.

www.insuremytrip.com always wise...

Happy Hunting and Caveat Emptor,

EcoAventura fleet currently has the best more upscale

wildlife/guides of the smaller local boats I know of

guanguiltagua.com/html/eric-letty-flamingo.html

Sven LindBlad has the best overall the Islander best

but quite a bit more money.... www.cruisecritic.com

Worth every penny though...

Hi CM,
Each month offers something special in Galapagos.
June offers fantastic underwater sights, including more chances to see dolphins and whales from boats.
In June you will have the chance to see migrating birds visiting Galapagos, the Short-eared Owls on Genovesa beginning their nesting season, Boobys nesting and laying eggs and it is a good month to see Frigatebird pouches on North Seymour. The giant tortoises head to lower lands, but you will still have a chance to see some in the wild, no doubt.
