Esteros del Iberá + Iguazú falls big family

Dear Friends,

We will be driving to Esteros del Ibera from Buenos Aires on 14th July and plan to drive from there to Iguazú falls on the 17th. We plan to stay there three nights. We would prefer to stay on the same place the three nights, not to change. We are a big family. One son, three daughters (17, 16, 14 abd 12 years old). And we cannot afford an expensive hotel. Have any of you been there and can recommend accomodation for a big family that is a on a budget? Would you recommend staying on the Argentinian side or the Brazilian side?

We would appreciate very much any advice you could share with us.

Laura

Hi Laura,

I think it would be less expensive to stay on the Argentine side but it largely depends on whether you are coming from Brazil or Argentina. The first time we visited we stayed at Marco Polo Inn a decent budget place close to the bus station so convenient to get to the falls. The second time we stayed at Guesthouse Puerto Iguazu, again a nice place, a little more expensive. Both were booked on www.booking.com . You would need to book more than one room. Alternatively, you could try finding a house or apartment on Airbnb or similar.
