El Calafate or Ushuaia or Both ?
 

We only have 3.5 days in that part of Argentina and presented with the following dilemma:



Option 1: should we try to visit both El Calafate and Ushuaia ? Then it will translate basically into one full day in each and flying in between. Or,



Option 2: maybe, forego either El Calafate or Ushuaia, and then have full 3+ days in one place.



If Option 2 is the choice, then which town should we pick ?

Is Option1 even should be considered ?

You say absolutely nothing about your interests or where else you've been and are going, so it's hard to give you personalized advice. But I think it's a no brainer to spend the entire time in El Calafate (I'd stay in El Chalten) and skip Ushuaia. El Chalten is an epic destination in its own right, and Ushuaia isn't so great compared to the rest of Patagonia other than as a stopover on the way to the Antarctic.
