Connecting flight too tight?

beginning to wonder if our connecting flight from Atlanta to Santiago with 45 min to make it from gate to gate from opposite ends of the terminal is a foolish choice....our option is 7 hours in the airport...the arrival success of our particular connecting flight is 72%.....thoughts?

Sounds tight to me - especially if your luggage is checked. Is 45 minutes a legal connection?

You might want to post on the appropriate airline board on flyertalk.com - lots of very knowledgeable frequent fliers there - they may have a more informed perspective

It is all one terminal with international and domestic ends to it. If you are going international to international you will be very close to where you want to be but it is still extremely tight. It does not allow for any delays in the air or with people deplaning.
