Chile Argentina Travel

Hi all,

I will be arriving into Chile into San Pedro De Atacama after the Salt Flats Tour. I was jus wondering what do to. I want to spend 2 days in San Pedro De Atacama and have a about 12 days to get to Buenos Aires which I'd like to spend 2 days in. What could I do in between/ what are the best routes to take? Is it possible to get to South to see Torres del Paine or El Calafate or would that be too rushed.
Many thanks.

That leaves you ten days. That is enough time to fly to Punta Arenas (unless there is a flight to Puerto Natales whenever you decide to go) and take a bus to TdP (about 6 hours), spend 3-4 days then bus to El Calafate for two nights where you do not need more than one full day to see Perito Moreno then fly from there to BsAs. You could even squeeze in a night or two in El Chalten.

What time of year?

The south is a long way. I would probably consider getting the bus to Salta, spend 5 days driving a circuit of NW Argentina. Fly or bus to Iguazú falls fora. Couple of nights and then fly to BA.
