Changing money in BA

Will I be able to change money on a Saturday? We're arriving on a weekend and I don't really want to have to take money out of ATMs. I'm not going anywhere near calle Florida, but I'm hoping there will be other places open that I can change USD.

Yes, the most "popular" place for this kind of thing, near Posadas and Ayacucho is open on Saturdays. I'll find out until what time. Certainly until midday.

Have a great time in my town. Savings versus using a credit card stand around 30%,at this writing.

As a general rule, I strongly suggest taking with a grain of salt or simply disregarding overly enthusiastic posts about any subject covered in this and other forums.

That said, the exchange place on Posadas street is mentioned in post # 16 here: http://tinyurl.com/p8kemx9

They are open on Saturdays from 9.30 AM until 2.30 PM.

Have a great time in my town.

Thanks for the info! I should be able to make it before it closes.

You DO understand, alisonspencer, that, since this is, in theory, an illegal activity, there will be no visible sign that such business is carried on in that place?

Yes, I know they have to be discreet.

What I mean, alisonspencer, is that you msy have to ask around, to find it. Top poster MarnieWDC describes it as the place with "a cow on the door". LOL!!!

Have a great time in my town.
