Buenos Aires - Recoleta Hotel Rec?
My husband and I will be in BA for 3 nights next February before going on to Iguazu Falls. We would like to stay in Recoleta, but prefer to avoid really large hotels.
Also would need good Wi-fi and a fitness center, as well as a pool and good breakfast. Based on my research, it looks as though many people stay at the Park Hyatt - it sounds lovely but larger than we would like. I really would appreciate suggestions - thank you in advance. |
I can’t say enough about our experience staying at the Melia Recoleta Plaza. Charming hotel, Juan Peron’s former mansion. Service was incredible. Perfect location. I do not recall seeing a pool bit not sure if they have one. Very near the famous Alvear Palace Hotel.

I suggest the Alvear Palace. Your requirements are somewhat contradictory, because only large hotels are likely to have a good pool. Have a great time in my town.

We stayed at the Sileo Hotel in Recoleta before we moved back to the US.
They are a Suites hotel, there is an indoor pool ...a very nice one. The rooms are nice and very quiet ... look at it and see if it appeals. Sileo Hotel Then there is the Arts Suites Hotel where we stayed for 2 weeks when we moved to BA. Family owned (females) and excellent in location and price and service. I can't remember if they have a pool. Art Suites - Buenos Aires - Argentina ? Art Suites ? Buenos Aires ? Argentina |
These are all great suggestions - I really appreciate it!

The Alvear (as noted above) is an elegant and classic hotel with the amenities you're look for...but it's not small. The Melia Recoleta (also noted above) is also wonderful, small and charming....but without the amenities. They are located just around the corner from each other in excellent parts of the barrio.
Should you choose the Melia Recoleta - or another boutique hotel - you can pay to use the facilities in the Alvear or other larger hotels. A quandry to be envied :) |
