Buenos Aires Hotels: Duque, Miravida, Glu, Mine or other Palermo Recs

I'll be spending three nights solo in Bs As (1st time) in October prior to a weeklong business trip to Santiago (4th time). Looking for a stylish boutique hotel with a cafe or wine bar in an artsy setting/good walking neighborhood. Duque appeals to me because of the spa, but unsure of the location. I'm female, 50ish, have lived in Latin America, speak fluent Spanish - Appreciate all ideas.

My wife and I We visit BAires every year and we have stayed from the four Seasons down. The hotel we are recomending has no spa, nor wine bar. Still it it is the best in BAires The Glu. The best service and it is in the best walking area of the city, Palermo Soho. Try it. Look at their web page. The photos are real and see it on trip advisor.

For wine visit Lo de Joaquin 4 blocks from the hotel.

Hi Crosscheck, I really don't know much about where the borders of the various neighborhoods cross, but I thought perhaps Duque was on the edge of Palermo Soho. We stayed there for 3 nights in January and loved it, though we didn't use the spa. (Looked nice though.) Great breakfast, super nice staff, great shower/bed. Small hip hotel. We walked several blocks to great restaurants- but there were 4 of us. Maybe MarnieDC, who was with us!, posts here frequently, and knows Palermo well, will chime in here about how you'd feel walking there solo. Husband and I walked back from restaurant 5 blocks or so away about midnight. It was quiet between the happening area of restaurants (the heart of Palermo Soho?) and Duque. Certainly in day it seemed quite fine.

Stayed at Miravida a couple years ago. nice hotel, but with the excision of the suite I thought the rooms were quite small. Owner and staff were wonderful. It now has just a wine bar with no cafe. I thought the neighborhood was just a touch out of the way and would try to stay more central.

Thanks, everyone. I'm leaning toward the Mine for location (and I think I can get an upgrade by booking on the tablet site), but open to other suggestions.

Mine is in a very good location. Have been in the hotel lobby which is very nice. Never stayed there.
