Buenos Aires 7-Day Itinerary
Yes, I know another post about help with an itinerary. I'm sorry in advance. :-) We were wondering if you could comment on our 7-day BA Itinerary below. We left Caminito off the list because it seems too touristry to us plus we are a little concerned about the crime in that area. We also decided to go to Tigre vs going to Colonia. We have seen many "old towns" in Europe, but haven't experienced anything like Tigre yet. Look forward to your comments. Thanks.

Seems like a pretty comprehensive, if very busy, itinerary. I much preferred Colonia to Tigre, but I am not entirely sure we made best use of our time in Tigre so that view is entirely subjective. We also really enjoyed Caminito, yes it was a bit touristy but not too OTT. We went there by across the city from Palermo which was an experience! We found the Subte to be great way of getting around and do try to get a ride on Linea A which has the old wooden carriages which are works of art.
Some photos and more info on some of the places you are planning on visiting are on our blog http://blog.travelpod.com/travel-blo...ai/1/tpod.html BA is towards the end of the entries |
i see you have a ? after MALBA. the museum building and it's collection are absolutely spectacular and not to be missed imo. i believe i went 3 time during our 10 days in and out of Bs As
we also had a wonderful day up in the delta out from tigre. there are beautiful wooden water buses which can take you out to small rustic resorts for a swim and enormous lunch cheers AndrewDavid |
You may end up trimming some of the items on your very fullsome and well put together list...but maybe not; I just suggest that you try to take time to just explore, in a relaxed way, some of the more interesting barrios - and people watch at some of the lovely cafes. You have Café Tortoni on your list, so, you could see that lovely, historic café while watching a nice Tango show (but skip the dinner)there.
One of our favorite days in Argentina was taking the Tigre day trip with DELTA UNPLUGGED. It was our second time on the Delta, and was so far superior that I would recommend it highly. It was just delightful: Delta-unplugged: [email protected] www.delta-unplugged.com.ar 54-11-4728-3089 cell: 15-6750-1536 Enjoy your time in BsAs. You might need a vacation after your vacation :-) |
