Brazil Visa Still Good?

In December 2011 my husband and I were three weeks from leaving for Brazil when he collapsed and broke his leg. Trip cancelled. We've rescheduled it for March of this year. Our Brazil visas are iin our passports and seems to say (I don't read Portuguese) valid for 10 years. Because we didn't go, they are not yet stamped by immigration.
I;ve tried getting confirmation from the consulate in LA but get no reply to emails or phone messages. Anyone have a visa and can tell me what it says about its validity and expiration.

I just checked mine which was issued in Toronto in December 2011 and says (in Portuguese and English) Valid for 5 years from date of issue.

It's a multiple entry visa good for stays of up to 90 days.

Hope that helps and have a great trip!

Because it's fairly easy to get an appointment with the consulate I'd try stopping by the physical location. It's also a great place to people watch :)

I'll go with Elizabeth's reply. I'll have to do my people watching in South America next month Femi.

You could have a problem. Mine is good for five years but only if the first entry is within 90 days of issuance. Strongly urge you to check with the Brazilian consulate, to avoid a surprise at the airport.
