Brazil: Bonito/Pantanal : Manaus Guide Recommendations
So, we have decided where to spend out three weeks in Brazil. Rio > Foz> Pantanal> Manaus (Amazon).
Does anyone have recommendations on guides on the Pantanal and Manaus regions? Cheers! |
Northern or southern Pantanal?

We had a great guide in Manaus - Al Cruz of Manaus Travel and Tours. His English is excellent and we really enjoyed our time with him. He did our airport transfers and we did a half day Manaus city tour. He also does tours in the wider region.

When I traveled to Manaus I booked tours in the city and a package for some days in a great jungle lodge with http://tripintour.com/en/
They have a good price, helpful agents and everything in my trip went very well. |
thanks for the replies so far folks!
southern Pantanal. |
Southern Pantanal? Just get yourself to the village Buraco das Piranhas and ask around there for tour operators and compare. Cheapest way.

Hey Samba,
That is what I was thinking. My wife is kind of freaking out that operators will be all booked up by the time we get there. She is concerned that it will be Easter week and if we do not book soon we will get shut out. thoughts? |
I'm not sure what to advise. That weekend (Good Friday to Easter Sunday) is a big one for domestic travel, but insofar as the rest of the week, and for that particular destination, I can't really say. I haven't been there at that specific time of year.
