Argentina Trip - Connection Challenges

I'll be taking a month long trip to South America (Argentina and Chile) and am challenged getting reasonable travel options for BsAs->Salta->Mendoza->Santiago. I've seen a variety of comments regarding reputable bus service in addition to the flights back & out of BsAs.

Is there an agency that someone could recommend to handle this portion for me, so that all I need to do is book my flights from USA->BsAs then Santiago->USA?

Thanks in advance for assistance!

"flights back & out of BsAs"

I am sure Cintia Stella of WOW Argentina could do this for you. After all, she runs a full service BA travel Agency. Contact her at: [email protected] or [email protected]

I suggest you research "Isabel", by using the TA forum's search feature: http://tinyurl.com/nw9f4

If you like what you read, contact her.

Have a great time in our country.

Agree withAvrooster. Also Avrooster should check the march issue of Conde Nast travel for an interesting article on Salta.

We just returned from one month in Argentina and used a travel agent for the first time so that I wouldn't have to wrap my brain around all the air flight options. Based on input here and on TA, we contacted Isabel. Many reasons why we are glad we did so. I will file a complete trip report here as soon as I recover from jet lag. Suffice to say that Isabel had our backs on more than one occasion.

We flew BA to Salta, then Salta to BA onto Mendoza. Then a quick hop over the Andes and you are in Santiago. You can do all this between Lan and Aerolinas flights. The prices are about equal (except for the Mendoza to Santiago leg). We had better luck with Aerolinas flights as far as being on time and not cancelled, but I know most people would say the opposite is true. Bus travel will be very time consuming.
