My husband and I rented a condo in Buenos Aires for 2 weeks in November.
What would be the easiest way to get to IF and back to our condo? How far is Bariloche and is it worth a day trip? Thank you for any suggestions. MaureenW |
November is a wonderful time of year, cool , yet warming up and everything is blooming.
Easiest way from Buenos Aires to IF(Iguazu Falls?) is taxi to the airport and fly. Bariloche is an overnight bus ride or a plane ride. Not a day trip. I suggest a good guide book and that you read these forums as well as TripAdvisor Argentina forums. |
Agree with Scarlett except for the November we were there -- apparently it was the hottest in 50+ years and it was HOT. So my advice would be prepared to potentially hit some hot weather.

I agree with yestravel. It CAN get quite warm in November, particularly as December draws near.

Argentina is a large country. Bus travel is not feasible for short trips due to time and distances. There are no high speed trains to whisk you to Iguazu or Bariloche.
That leaves plane travel. I suppose you could do a day trip to Bariloche but I would not recommend it...flights from BA to Bariloche are 300 dollsars plus...600 to 700 dollars per two people for a couple of hours of site seeing just does not make sense for most of us. Agree with others about November. Could be warm. Could be hot. Could be both. Transitional seasons are like that. Be prepared. Rent a place with a good air conditioner and a heater and bring some warm weather clothes as well as your long sleeves. |
dollars not dollsars.

I am an independent traveler, however to visit Bariloche from Bs As there are good packages that
include air, hotel, transfers and some sightseeing. There are adds in Sunday La Nacion/ worth checking. |
