Apartment Rented - BA here I come!
 

I finished reserving my apartment today. I can hardly wait to get there. It's Calle Arroyo - not the most obvious tourist location, but I staid in this area last time so I know my way around from there. Also the apartment has an outdoor terrace and a washing machine.

I'll be in BA a month, but my list of things I want to do could probably fill 6 months.

I'll be there for all of October and a few days into November. Any can't miss fairs or event in that time period?

The apartment is on Arroyo and what other street?
Oh lucky you, a month is great ... more is greater but a month is time to relax and absorb more :- )

You shouldn't miss visiting the inside of the Pink House, I guess the tours will still be running when you come. You never know the exact schedules with public buildings but when the time comes you can ask again if they are still running
Arroyo street and surroundings is a very nice place to stay! I love walking over there. If you are a fan of cakes and other sweet stuff you can try Maru Botana's pastries. This is located on Suipacha and Arroyo street. Maru is a very famous cook in Buenos Aires, pastries are her specialty and she has a tv show everyday on Telefe channel. She is very famous also for having lots of kids (6 but 1 passed away) and on Sundays she takes them to the tv show!!! Very fun!

Suipacha and Arroyo. Last year I stayed on Juncal between Suipacha and Esmerelda. Even though it's not as "cool" as Palermo etc, I found it very convenient since there is subte close by and lots in walking distance. If I'm going to eat bife, proveleta y alfajores I have to walk a ways. If they were right outside my door I'd never be able to squeeze in gnocchi at Sotto Vocce.

I have a friend who lives there! I love it ... Sundays are so great, quiet, hardly a car in sight, walking to the parks ... and the antique stores :- )

Mind you, the antique stores are closed on Sunday but it is a pleasure to walk along and have no one else on the street or sidewalk and dawddle by the windows, looking, day dreaming that you (I) can afford some of the treasures in there :- )

It's lovely to windowshop and try to figure out how one would A) afford the items and B)get it home!

yeh October is the perfect month for BA! In the big green square in Recoleta (where the Palais du Glace is), just above the crafts market there are always free, live concerts going on and particularly in October to celebrate the beginning of Spring, so just head down there on a Saturday or Sunday and there will be something going on!
