Any idea of the charges ?

The Parador El Lagar in Salta looks like a good choice for us - however, I cannot seem to get any cost or contact information. Anyone have a suggestion ?

Any ideas on a French & English speaking, NW guide ?

Many thanks for any help you can give.

Marnie: earlier today, I e-mailed you from my new e-mail address the answer to the question you asked this morning on TA, with no replies so far. Please acknowledge that e-mail and block my old address, which is infected with some virus.

El Lagar's e-mail is the following: [email protected]

Rest assured Angie's personality will make up for her lack of French speaking skills. If that is not good enough, I'm certain she can recommend a good guide who speaks English AND French.

Marnie: If you wish to phone the Parador el Lagar, the number is 54-387-421-7943 and 54-387-431-9439

For some reason or other, I suspect they are not too responsive to e-mail. They don't seem to have a website.....

Marnie: I saw Angie replied to your post on TA. I guess those prices she gives must be in pesos, JIC you wonder.

Oh thank you Avrooster: I will check my e-mail.

Yes, Angie did answer me and Whew! I am glad those prices were in Pesos :-) Grateful to you for the telephone contacts.

I am waiting for Angie to get back to me about a Guide she knows who speaks French and English. This would greatly enhanse our enjoyment of the charm of the Northwest.

Really getting excited about returning to Arg.

Yes, Marmie... I am sorry for the delay but work is work and when we are lucky to have some we have to work. I have a collegue who speaks great english and french. Not many guides do. She works for a company and I can not "catch her". Our roads crossed some days ago and She promised to contact me.
yes the prices are in Pesos... otherwise I would have written U$S to mean dollars.
I will try to get to her asap and let you know.

Marnie: about another of your questions on TA (which you abstain from asking in this humble forum, LOL!!) maybe you could have fun with this website: http://www.ruta0.com/

Oh I love that web-site. Thank you Avrooster. Flintstones did answer the question of distance between Jujuy airport and Permamarca - far - and so we will modify our internal, NW travel plans.

Flintstones/Angie is teriffic. You are too. Many thanks, ~M
