Hello RhbPhoto,

I have traveled with Adventure Life on two different occasions and recommend them without reservation. My wife and I did an Ecuadorian Amazon tour and a muliti-sport tour to Nicaragua. Adventure Life's customer service was impeccable, and their guides on the ground were ideal. There is a reason the company is constantly featured in leading travel publications and high-circulation newspapers like USA Today. They were also named one of National Geographic's top adventure travel companies on the planet and have won Outside magazine's trip of the year several times. You are in good hands. They have be come my "go-to" company for Latin America. Let me know if you have any questions.

Perhaps I'm a cynic but this sounds like advertising to me.

Yet travel,

Check out my Nicaragua trip journal with them. You can see my name. Pretty cool.http://www.adventure-life.com/photos...ultisport-404/

Hi there rhbphoto. I've used them for Galapagos before and they were great. I actually was planning a patagonia trip with them two years ago and then got pregnant and canceled the trip and haven't been able to plan it again yet. when I do though, they will be who I use. They went above and beyond in ecuador for us, as i had some specific requests that they were able to help make happen. Hope that helps!

Sorry no experience with them, I did my own bookings when I went to Torres del Paine.

If you haven't already looked at FS Expeditions (connected with Fantastico Sur who runs the Las Torres area lodges) they have some specialists in photography tours.

I found this one of the most frustrating countries in which to book travel so I wouldn't blame anyone for using a good travel agent and buying lots of trip insurance.

BTW ask Adventure Life what the current situation is with EcoCamp.

As far as itineraries into TdP, this is a good one, better than being bussed into the park via the Milodon Cave.

EcoCamp is REALLY high on my bucket list. Maybe at the top. Seems like EcoCamp's website is down, but I am pretty sure that adventure life works with them on several trips.

It may be that the website is down because the company is too? I'm not sure how they were affected by the fire near Lodge Paine Grande.

Thanks for the info. I have them working on an itinerary. Also looking at a company called amazonadventures, a smaller guide service. We are more individualized, small group travelers. We are also looking into taking the cruise through the Straights/Channel.

Hi Bob,

Which tour company did you end up using for your Patagonia trip? Did you have a good experience and would you recommend the company you chose?

Please don't click that link, it is to an online store. Nothing to do with travel. I've reported it.
