Hi There, I am planning to travel to Peru by the end of Dicember and need some help, I want to visit Arequia, Cusco , Machu Picchu and Laketiticaca. I will apreciate any information about nice hotels (save), Restaurants (clean) and places in the city which are not save for tourist, I am going with family and 2 kinds under 14 years old, any advice for travel agency that i can use for Peru.

I apreciate any help.

For Machu Picchu and Cusco I went with http://mythicaltrailsperu.com/index.html they were frienly, they took care of me all the time and gave me a cellphone to contact them anytime. The Hotels and restaurants that they provided were good (save and clean).

You questions are broad enough that I think a good guidebook would serve you well. This is the Fodor's site, so I'll recommend the Fodor's guide to Peru. I think it's exceptionally well done. And I'm not just saying that because I've worked on every edition of the book so far. ;)

I used Peru Best Tours and really liked them. They dealt with all of my control issues very gracefully and put together an interary that met my budget, list of things to do and timeline.

Our favorite restauarant in Cusco was Chicha - don't miss it! As far as hotels in Cusco, we stayed at the Rumi Punko, which was more than we wanted to spend but spotless with great staff. We didn't like the sounds of reviews for the less expensive level of hotel/hostel.
