We are planing to take a cruise from Valparaicio, Chile to Buenos Aires, Argentina in January 2012. We will fly from Los Angeles to Santiago Chile, but returning flight will be from Buenos Aires. I am buying all my tickets online lately. Since the return flight is not from the same place, should I use an agency. When is the best time to buy tickets. What airline is good. Please advise

Whichever airline you choose, don't forget to budget $130 per person, which you will pay upon arrival in Santiago as an entry fee to Chile. Chile charges this because it's what an Chilean has to pay to get a visa for the U.S.

if you are really on a super tight budget

the cheapest I have done last Jan was

then fly a SA econo like Sky LIM to SCL usually under $100.

I need some explanation what is 2 one pass with continental.
I have miles with American Express and American Express Delta.
Delta charge 90000 for Latin America flight. Isn't too much.
How did you get price $239 with www.spirit.com. Should I search multiple flights option. May be I have to wait till beginning of April with tickets. Now is peak of season there. Do they have certain time for special sales.
