Aerolineas Argentinas vs LAN

I know that Aerolineas went through a very bad patch in terms of on time performance and general customer service. There has not been much discussion of this airline recently. Is this because they have improved and it is no longer an issue or because everyone flys LAN now?

The one reason I am thinking that LAN may not be a good choice for us is that we know from experience with LAN in Chile that the legroom on their planes is terrible for people with long legs. (We measured the seat pitch at 30 inches...an uncomfortably tight squeeze for one of us.) Is Aerolineas any better on the legroom score? Our itinerary is such that being an hour late on a flight would be a mere disapointment not a disaster.

Don't even consider Aerolíneas unless it is the only airline available.

Message received! Thanks. One flight is booked with LAN and one to go. Now if only the Andes web site would cooperate as well as LAN's.

Josebtesh, I asked a soccer-literate colleague to interpret you analogy and turned out that he has seen Torquey play.

Given the feelings about Aerolineas I am surprised that LAN does not seem to have better pricing power.
