Hi, Bob! How are you doing? Say hi to your wife for me, will you?

That looks great! In May I must work on my accent. Last year everyone ask if I was Brazilian. My Mexican friends say I sound Spanish, but I use the wrong words to be Spanish. When I speak Italian, Italians think I'm Portugese. Clearly I have a very confused accent!

Oh, teach2travel, I know the feeling !

Thank goodness for the NEAR universality of hand signals - though not much help on the telephone :-)

I am almost never mistaken for Portugese, Spanish, or Brazilian.

Taxi drivers usually ask, "Americano?" after listening to my speak for a few minutes.

MarnieWDC Sep 10th, 2011 12:15 PM

Surely they meant "Americano del Sur" ?

My wonderful Spanish even gets corrected on the Forum ! LOL
