7 days for sacred valley -help dividing time

Arrive Cusco late Wednesday and then planned to go directly to Ollanta. 2n,2day and late Friday to AC - Machu Picchu on Sat. then back to Ollanta by train and bus or taxi to Pisac.
Sunday -Pisac market and ruins (not hiking) and maybe to Chinchero finally reaching Cusco Sunday night. 3 full days Cusco.
Should we add days to Ollanta or Pisac?
Where is best to see Moray and salt flats from?
We are seniors and will not be treking or hiking, but love wandering the streets and seeing cultural life of the towns.
Thanks for any help

Pisac is easily visited from either Olly or Cusco and does not require an overnight. many people visit en route between the 2 towns but allow at least half a day as the ruins are very impressive (I preferred Pisac to MP).

Ollantaytambo is a lovely little town and is the best palce from which to see the rest of the sacred ValleySacred Valley. It is the best place to acclimatise to the altitude before going to the higher Cusco. Moray and the Maras Salineras and Chinchero are easily reachable in a single day (Maras is walkable from Olly) but Olly itself is a great place to explore for a couple of days (especially when its quiet after the buses and day trippers have departed.

Cusco is much larger and has a great deal more to see and it is definitely the best place for "wandering the streets" - loads of museums and galleries to visit and the best restaurants. A few days in Olly beforehand will make dealing with the increased altitude that much easier.

Here is a link to our blog with more detail and some photos of the region.

Sorry - I forgot to add that 3 nights Olly, I MP and 3 Cusco would be my choice, but it really is subjective and dependent on whther you prefer the laid back quiet ambience of Olly or the vast amount to see in Cusco which does lend itselfvery much to slowly wandering the streets.

I second crellston, we absolutely loved the quiet of Olly after the day trippers left, but found Cusco equally interesting, so many many museums and churches to explore. Also, just wandering around and interacting with the locals was so much fun, the people are so very welcoming and friendly.

SV 8000 ft better for altitude adjustment for me.
casa-andina.com apulodge.com my fav bases shuttle
bus around from there for a Sole or 2. Moray and Pisac
and all your MP can be done from ollantaytambo.org cutest little fortress town. Back up to Cusco 11000 ft after I adjust
Casa Andina Classic rumipunku.com or Palacio Del Inka
libertador.com.pe for a splurge from $200 for me in the past directrooms.com.

Have fun!
