Crystal Cruise Buyer Beware

I booked a Crystal Cruise for May 2022. I cancelled in April 2021. I have NOT received my refund even after multiple attempts requesting my refund. I have sailed multiple times on Crystal and am so very disappointed that they have NOT lived up to their terms of the contract. Do NOT book unless you are 100% sure you won't cancel.

Welcome to Fodors. (I assume we are just one of several websites where you've registered to complain)

Unfortunate that you haven't received your refund yet but they likely have hundreds maybe thousands of other passengers ahead of you in line for refund processing. Have you tried a charge back on your credit card?

I understand that but don't say that you will get your refund within 90 days.

If you cancelled in April it's barely been 90 days. Give it a bit more time before getting too upset. I mean this in a kind way.

Even 90 days is ridiculous. So beyond that my patience runs very thin. I expected more from Crystal.

I have not checked, but think that may be standard with the cruise lines. I know they have been terribly backed up because of staff shortages since trying to pick back up on cruises and both cancellations and bookings have been overwhelming.

90 days isn't ridiculous IMO - at least not in the current situation. For the last 18 months every cruise line, airline, hotel chain, tour operator, etc has been dealing with unprecedented upheaval and huge numbers of re-bookings, refunds, cancellations, re-scheduling, itinerary changes . . . and cash flow hits like no one could plan for. You are probably one of thousands and thousands of bookings they have to deal with. I'd relax and wait for their process to run its course . . . or consider a charge back.

I agree with the posts above. These are trying times for everyone and it is barely 90 days. Patience is a virtue.
If you don't eventually get your refund, and you paid with a credit card, take it up with your credit card company.

This is not exactly the worst problem in the world, in fact you are really quite fortunate to be in this position. There are a lot of people in this world who dream of booking a cruise but it will never happen.

You will get your money back so chill out and count your blessings. Life is too short to be angry and stressed over first world problems like this.
