Anyone familiar with the area right around plaza de tetuan in Barcelona ? Found a great flat rental but not sure about area.

One of the best areas in town. Tranquile, local feel and primarily residential area with some excellent tapas bars and restaurants close by (for example in Carrer del Comerç 500 meters away and the rest of the Born district). Close to the wonderful Ciutadella park and 700 meters from fashionable Passeig de Gracia.

Left Barcelona two days ago and asked the symphatic and laid-back taxi driver on the way to the airport about his favourite areas in the city. The area around Arc de Triomf/Plaza Tetuán came out on top.

Central, has easy connections to transport, walking distance to many top attractions.
