Royal Bardia National Park - October or March/April
I'm planning a trip to Nepal and would like to visit Royal Bardia. I've read that the rains end in September, which I'm thinking might not make the end of October an ideal time for animal viewing. So was considering putting the trip off until March, beginning of April for better wildlife viewing, but read the weather is colder. Has anyone visited the park during these times? Any input on the park and places to stay would be appreciated.

Hi there,
April is the best time to visit Royal Bardia National Park. Since Bardia is already situated in Terai region and it gets little more warm during the day but you get such a nice cool weather at evening and morning.
As I traveled to Baridya National Park last year at the same time which was really fantastic with my groups. Actually we were there for Honey Haunting project. Of course experience could be different but if you are considering about seeing the Tiger then you should go there once. To stay at lodges, nowadays few local lodges are available near the National park where you can have good rest and every night you can hear the sound of wild animals. Its just a wonderful place to be. Hope I can travel there again.
You can travel to Bardiya either by land or by flight from Kathmandu.
Please enjoy your trip and if you need further more information please drop the message.

Even its rainy season,it would be great with warm and rainy season. Sometimes hard to cross the river but still you can walk through the part, and specially you can enjoy with wildlife rafting to experience the inner part, similarly elephant safari adds on to cross the river too., as i am from Bardia and involved in tourism busines and as i have done jungle guides in the rainy season too. hope this will finds you to make a decision. Enjoy Bardia wildlife
