turks and caicos
My son and his girlfriend will be visiting Turks and caicos, in the beggining of January for 6 days> Now he is starting to be disperate, feeling as there is not much to do in the island for 6 days. Any suggestions on what to do (he is choosing to stay in Grace Bay), is grace Bay a nice option? what are the rates to rent a jet ski (too expensive?) parasailing (?). Windsong is a nice hotel?? oh , sorry so many questions!!!! thanks for the help

Provo/Grace bay is a small pretty green hilly island
Not a tonne to do there but chillax
Personally got bored after a few days water sports
are wonderful there but beach is great...
booking.com honest hotel reviews fine not great
rentals expensive
For more action consider St Thomas perhaps St Lucia

The Windsong is very nice, newish all condo resort. Off shore snorkeling right in front resort is excellent. Grace Bay is the main resort area and a great place to stay. TCI is all about the beach and the water. It is not like other places with hiking or zip lining. Check out www.wherewhenhow.com for lots of great info. He will love TCI...it is beautiful, great restaurants and wonderful people.

Grace Bay is awesome by everyone's standards, there's a reason Tripadvisor ranked it number 1 in the world.
Expensive is relative, on vacation excursions cost more regardless of what island you choose.
There are many water sports and excursions, from sail trips to other little islands, snorkeling, snub a, scuba, parasail, banana boats, day trips to surrounding islands, other beaches with different looks(for ex Sapadilla and Taylor bays are like giant wading pools where you can float all day and forms little sand bars) jet ski, skiing, kayaks, etc.
While it's a quieter island overall, there is some life. Tue nights BBQ on the beach with music at Somerset is magical. Live bands at Somewhere On the Beach(don't miss Justspliff) live music at Mango Reef and Seven Stars(don't miss Seven Stars, it's a magical setting). If full moon there are pig roasts on the beach. There's a DJ at Gansevoort on fri and sat, and during major sports such as football has a giant screen TV on the beach there. If they get too antzy there's always a night pass to Club Med.
It's not a raging party place like Aruba or Mexico, but there is plenty to do.
There's not a bad place to stay, windsong is gorgeous.
By your post, sounds like you're just being insecure, you'd be that for any new place. Without knowing you at all can't tell you if you think it's expensive, you think you'll be bored, you think it's not for you, you've given us us nothing to work with to answer you questions.
We can tell you it's an upscale luxury island on one of the best beaches in the world with excellent restaurants, and everybody agrees on that.
