Rome airport train and early morning flight question

We have a 7:00 am flight from Rome to Mykonos.

Does the first train to the airport leave early enough to allow us to take this flight, or must we either take a cab (and if so, what is the cost?), or should we sleep near the airport?

Thanks for any assistance.

I don't think the train will allow enough time. I would take a cab or arrange a shuttle. The oficial taxi rate is 40-45 euro and would take 20-30 minutes at that hour.

Dealth with this issue recently on www.hotwire.com for

$69/nt booked the 4* Sheraton Roma Airport Shuttle 5 euro

Best value I could find as an www.spg.com member get

free upgrades on rooms shuttle into central Rome 3 euros

Have previously stayed in the new Courtyard by Marriott FCO

more expensive closest to the airport also might be nice.

www.booking.com good info... Happy Hunting,

There is a COTRAL bus at 3:50 a.m. which will get you to FCO airport in about one hour. Fare is 4.50 Euros. The bus stop is in from of the Roman Archeological Museum in Piazza dei Cinquecento (in front of the Termini train station).

A taxi will cost around 50 Euros.

Are you departing from FCO or CIA? Taxis are set fee to FCO of 45€ for four people including luggage. You can also book a limo shuttle for the same price.
