latindestinations.com?

Has anyone booked trips through latindestinations.com? Any feedback? How was the experience? Do you recommend the site? Or would it be better and cheaper to go to a local travel agent?

Check with www.BBB.org too many complaints for me...

The company's size, volume of business and number of transactions may have a bearing on the number of complaints received by the BBB. The complaints filed against a company may not be as important as the type of complaints, and how the company has handled them. The BBB generally does not pass judgment on the validity of complaints filed.

Number of complaints processed by the BBB
in the last 36 months: 34
in the last 12 months: 11

www.latinamericaforless.com

www.gotmyfare.com

2 companies better rated frequently they do save over agents.

Happy Journey,

We've had good luck with Latindestinations but I would not recommend them unless you know exactly where you want to stay and why, how you want your in-country transportation to work, what place you want to see first, which place last, etc. I study each leg of the trip and book it the way it will work best for us. Just knowing which rooms are noisy, old or undesirable makes all the difference in the world and you can easily get this kind of information from guidebooks or the internet, but you have to dig in and do it so you can request the exact type of room you really want. Works great for those of us who know just what we want. If you use them, plan months ahead. Once rooms get tight, some hotels will want to hold onto the few rooms they left knowing they can unload them at the full rate. You can always price your trip on the website and then see what a travel agent will charge you for the same trip.
