I suggest you research Isabel (a local independent travel agent) by typing her name on TA's search feature http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowForum...Argentina.html and contact her, if you like what you read there.

Have a great time in our country.

Have you already booked your trip and are looking for a LOCAL tour guide in Argentina? Or, are you looking for a tour company to take you there?

I haven't tried them, but I think for the most part, GAP Adventures gets good reviews, and they do have some trips that sound interesting.

Here is another budget-oriented option:

However, you can certainly manage Argentina on your own if you want to do so.

We saw a Tauck Tour group while we were traveling independently in Argentina. It looked like a pretty large group.
We also saw an Overseas Adventure Travel group which was smaller.

We are going with Grand Circle Travel and our group will consist of a maximum of 24 persons. We have also traveled with OAT and their groups are a max. of 16. We love them both as they have very good itineraries and excellent guides, not to mention the best value for your money. If you choose to go with them, you can mention my name and get a $50 pp discount. Email me to get the necessary info.

I also highly recommend Grand Circle and Overseas Adventure Travel - both run by the same parent company. Their tour leaders are always fantastic - and from the country that you are visiting. We have taken six tours with them, and are scheduled to take another tour with OAT in December. If you have any questions about these companies, feel free to contact me at: [email protected].

Thanks everyone for your help. OAT is a possibility for sure -- have taken one previous trip with them to Switzerland which was good. Has anyone used Adventures Abroad?

Hi,

I would DEFINITELY reccomend www.bsas4u.com they have loads of activities, tours, flights, accommodation, they are v.helpful, can book online (a bit of a novelty in Argentina!) and give all kinds of insiders tips!

Have a great trip!

Hi! I would recommend WOW Argentina, they are a young couple who have been in the business for several years. They know a lot of Argentina since they are constantly travelling all over to check out what's new out there. I have guided several groups in Buenos Aires who told me WOW is also working with the Peru area, as well as Brazil, Chile and Uruguay.
Eternautas and La Bicicleta Naranja are 2 other companies who have great options for tours around the city. With La Bicicleta Naranja you can either rent a bike on your own or rent a tour to go with the bike.

Have a great time in our country!
