Tioga Pass Opening Tomorrow 10:00 am

The Yosemite web site has the opening date/time for Tioga Pass:

Wednesday (tomorrow) May 20 at 10:00
For vehicle traffic only ( no campgrounds/restrooms/information center opening)

Glacier Point has been open isince May 5th and Mariposa Grove has been open since April 17.

Thanks Suzie. Seems like it's a little early this year. We're heading to the Tioga Pass Resort for a week in mid July. Love it there. Can't wait!

Having grown up in Bishop, this sure does bring back memories. I really do miss the Eastern Sierra, sigh!

Wow. I'm thinking it was the end of June one year when we had to change our plans as the Tioga Pass was still closed!

Open before Memorial Day? That's pretty good. They had new snow just a couple of weeks ago.

Yes, there was snow the early part of April, but I think it's a combination of not as much snow as in past years and a very warm spring.
