quick hotel question,old san juan
we are going to spend our last night in old san juan for my birthday before heading back to new england.
the sheraton has really great rates and i like the idea of the casino
but then normandie has even better rates, but says it is at the "entrance" to osj. just how close?? is it walking distance to say the fort, fortelaza st, etc?? thanks.
I think i have read the normandie is a really nice hotel, but if it is not so close to the olc city then we will go with the sheraton, thanks

hi, soggy--
when will you be staying at the sheraton? my husband, our two friends, and I are considering it for our last night of vacation. We would prefer El Convento but the prices are about $100 more per night than they were last year, which makes it too expensive for us.
We're looking to stay at the Sheraton on Tuesday, May 22. If you're there before hand, I've love a quickie report.
Thanks!

hi ej
we will be there in 2 weeks. I was happy to find rates of $145 since they were over $200 when I was looking in March when our family was visiting. Looking forward to those sweet sleeper beds! and eating at La Bombonera, and the old buildings....will do a mini tr!
