It's blasphemy, but they're all basically the same--decent, but the same. A pancake is a pancake is a pancake.

The only place that seemed a little different, a cut above, was EggCeption, but that closed.

A good centrally located breakfast place is Akel's on Kings Highway near it's intersection with 65th Avenue North.

Our favorite and beautiful place to have breakfast is at Chantilly's at the Patricia Grand. This is NOT the Patricia Grand north location.
It's on the second floor, with white tablecloths and lovely ocean views, delicious food, and all at Denny's prices!!
This has become a tradition for us.

There are all kinds of breakfast places in Myrtle Beach, and the Grand Strand stretches for miles. It would be nice to know where you are staying -- if up in North MB, you wouldn't want to drive down to Murrells Inlet just for breakfast -- or maybe you would.

Well, if you DO want to have breakfast in either Surfside or Litchfield go to Eggs Up grill.

My husband agrees with Eggs Up Grill.

My absolute favorite breakfast is K&W Cafeteria.

Really? I stay at the Hampton Inn across from the K&W a lot - but then again, I eat their free breakfast.

Good to know.

Oh yes! Eggs to order as well as pancakes and Belgium waffles. You order that at the front of the line.

Cheese grits, biscuits, yum yum yum.

K&W in Murrell's Inlet. Well, maybe it's worth a drive to MI for breakfast after all!

I was curious, so I googled. Here are the K&W's in MB area

7900 N Kings Hwy - @ 79th st, across the street from my Hampton Inn
.3 miles N of HI

2001 S Kings Hwy -
7.3 mi SW of HI

1621 Highway 17N, Surfside Beach
12 mi SW of HI

1255 Tadlock Dr, Murrells Inlet
(17 miles s of my HI)

So, depending on where you are staying in the MB area, there's a K&W within 5 miles or so

I'm going to have to pay more attention to that! Thanks, although we LOVE Eggs UP.

Thanks for all the great ideas ... Silly me, I posted the question just before we went and got stuck in a place with no internet access ... I'll save your ideas for our next trip to MB. BUT we did find a great fun place for breakfast ... the House of Blues serves a tasty buffet with made-to-order omelettes for just $6.99 ... a fun place to eat and the food was great.

I wish I would have thought about the HOB! Excellent breakfast and they have two for one coupons all over town!
