GTG in NYC Labor Day weekend
There was a post not long ago about a GTG in NYC next weekend and wondered if there was any final word on where and when. I am in the city over the weekend, and can meet up with you guys,,,,,,or would be happy to host a BBQ in my backyard if anyone is interested. You bring the wine, lol.
Let me know.

Ok, it's later next week already and the weekend and Ernesto is fast approaching, and my offer of the backyard is still open.
I live on the uppest west side, in Washington Heights, a half block from the A train. You get on the A/B/C/D or the 1 train to get here and I am inbetween the 2 subway lines.
Saturday looks to be RAINY and we are supposed to get a couple of inches of rain, but since I am pretty sure I won't melt, I would be happy to meet up with anyone interested, OR Sunday looks to be a nicer day and the offer of my backyard is still open. You bring the wine. Oh and I hope you like cats, I have ragdolls, and they will want to sit in your lap, thank you very much and a pat here please.
So let me know what works for everyone.
I can suggest a cute inexpensive Italian restaurant in the 80's for lunch or Ellen's Stardust on Broadway for lunch, or even better, Dim Sum in Chinatown, my druthers would be Chinatown, but whatever works in everyone's schedule is great with me.

Wantsomesun, you are very kind.
Unfortunately I will have to pass this time. Our family heads back to the UK on Saturday so we will be visiting with them and saying our good-byes.
Actually, I think I do melt when it rains, lol. Last Sunday my feet were completely soaked watching my son run the 1/2 marathon. I need to buy some cool looking boots.
Anyway, stay dry and have a great weekend!

Thanks so much for the offer. My work trip was cancelled. I boo-hoo'd for a while - and watched AirTran's website. I'm flying in and out of White Plains for just a bit over 24 hours. Maybe a rain check? (Ha! literally this weekend )

Well actually I was considering inviting all of you so we could start building an ark in the yard, that way when the floods start, you will know where to go, oh,,,,,,,,wait the floods may have already started, it was 40 days and 40 night, right? So we should only have a few more weeks to go.......
Wishing everyone blue skies and sunshine.......

Ok Sunday, Dim Sum it is. I think the best Dim Sum is on Mott St at the Mandarin Ct. How about 1pm there?
Mandarin is on the right side of the street heading away from Canal St. I will get a table for Fodors.
That sound like fun?

Y'all have a blast! I just got back from Nyack - although the plane was 5 hours late taking off. Dear Sister and hubby are in Manhattan - and I'm NOT!
wantsomesun, did you know you are in the NYC Fodors Guide?
