Suggestions for low price one way ticket from Buenos Aires

We will end up in Buenos Aires after a month, (Feb 2005) and need a one way ticket back to the US. Does anyone have experience on where to go to get the lowest fare? Thanks.

Your best bet is a travel agent in Buenos Aires that specializes in (i.e. sell a lot of tickets to) the US. They can get you the best deals.

This is just an assumption, but judging from your name, it looks to me like you will be on a cruise when you arrive in Buenos Aires.

If that's true, you must start the cruise somewhere. Unless it's in the city you live in or a short drive, you will need to fly to that city as well. In that case, get an open jaw ticket. That's when you fly into one city and return from another city. It should be very comparable to a R/T airfare.

Another possibility is going through the cruise line. They do have special deals in cases like this that you and I can't usually find.

If all else fails buy a R/T and throw awy the return. It will be cheaper than one way ticket.

Again, assuming that you are on a cruise.

Some countries have a requirement to show a return or continuing ticket when entering a country. If Brazil is one of those you not be able until you arrive to purchase.

But since Buenos Aires is in Argentina, the OP may not have to worry about Brazil.
