Visit Murano?

We will be spending 2 nights in Venice. With that limited amount of time, would it be worthwhile to visit Murano or would all our time be more well spent in Venice?

I loved Murano! I only had 24 hours in Venice and took the trip out to Murano. I think it would only take a few hours out of your time.

Hi
We recently spent 2 nights in Venice - and we went out to Murano the second morning. I'd say go for it - as Bailey says, the trip there and back is terrific - you pass right pass the Cemetary island where Stravinsky etc is buried and it looks wonderfully creepy. Then Murano itself - we bought some beautiful glass and really enjoyed wandering around. However we were strict with outselves and set a time to return back to Venice - the boat service is very frequent.
Lucky you - Venice is my favourite place in the world!

Save it for next time - eats up lots of time and there are many better things and places.

Agree with CN--Murano is fine, and very interesting if you are into glass and glass blowing, but if you have only 2 or 2-1/2 days, there are more significant sights.

IMHO, Murano is best done on a return visit or an extended first stay, not a short 2 night visit. It usually does take several hours to accomplish.
