St. Francis Westin in S.F.

Will be staying at this hotel for 3 nights soon for a biz trip. A few quick questions - any recommendations for restaurants within walking distance that are inexpensive for breakfast? How about moderately priced ones for dinner?
Also - any type of grocery or convenience store within walking distance to buy snacks, bottled water, etc during my stay?
Thanks!

The Westiin St Francis is on Union Square - as your probably know already. There are all kinds of little shops - grcoery and otherwise - on the streets surrounding Union Square. Your concierge would probably know of a good small shop close by.

San Francisco has more restaurants than you can shake a stick at - so would suggest that you be a bit more specific - Chinese? Japanese? Mexican? Basic American? Something tasty but not too expensive? Seafood?

Please narrow things down a bit! Thanks!

In terms of type of restaurant I'm looking for, something Italian or Seafood would be preferable and within a 3-4 block area near the hotel. Nice but not too expensive, entrees in the $15-$20 range or lower.
Thanks!

The St Francis is my favorite bar---love to sit there sipping a cosmo after shopping in Union Square. Love dinner at Kuleto's, only a block or two away. Great breakfast at Sear's (no relation to Sears and Robuck!) right in the same block at the St Francis. Have a great time!

Just around the corner from the St. Francis is Sears Fine Food. They have a great breakfast. (I'm assuming this place is still open for business). It was very busy the morning we went and had to stand in a line. (It went fast.)

Out the front doors and about two blocks right down the hill is a drug store where you can get drinks, chips, muffins etc.

In the hotel there is a Harry and David Store for lemon soda, moose crunch, fresh pears etc. . Yum!
