Weather in Italy end of May - Beginning of June.

Wondering how the weather was the end of May and beginning of June. Thought this would be ideal as I've read that it can be hot end of June/July.

Were looking to go to Venice, Florence, and Rome.

Thanks

THIS year when I was there (between 16 and 30 May) the weather at Lake Como was in the 70's. It was in the low 80's on some days in Rome.

We were in those same cities May 14th through the 24th this year and the weather was very nice. The evenings were still a little cool in Venice because of the water. We had a thunder shower in Florence one afternoon and a light shower in Rome one evening but sunny weather the remainder of the days. Never needed a jacket or sweater during the day.

Anecdotes tell you about ONE year, and tell you little about how different or similar that year is.was to the "usual".

To know the "usual" (which happens about two-thirds of the time), statistics are the best way to describe weather.

I recommend www.weatherbase.com or www.worldclimate.com

Best wishes,

Rex

I was there this year June 10-30th. Checked the weatherbase website...expected temps around 80...had many days(the majority) with 95 degrees and high humidity...Next time I will go at the beginning of May. Maggie

We had the same experience this year. Have been to Tuscany and Amalfi coast in the last three years when I had to wear a sweater in the evenings. However, this year (May 30 through June 16), it was hot, hot, hot in both Tuscany and Positano. I took all the wrong clothes! You never know . . .
