HappyTrvlr I am also visiting Girona and Coullioure in May. Do you have dinner recommendations in Coullioure? And what else would you recommend doing during an early evening into the evening? Very interested in wandering the village / shopping. We only have a few hours there. Thank you!

Check Perpignan and Chateau de Salses. and may be the Yellow train https://www.pyrenees-cerdagne.com/en...rcours-english
The latter in the case you really want to enter more than a few miles into the French part of Catalunya.

Many early 20th century artists spent time in Collioure, especially those like Matisse and Dufy who were active in the Fauve movement at that time. Apparently when they were unable to pay their tabs, the old Hotel des Templiers would take a painting or two. Over time they accumulated a large number of their works. We enjoyed a drink at the bar there.

The drive along the coast from Llança to Port Vendres (Routes N-260 in Spain and D-914 in France) is spectacular. We did a daytrip from Collioure to Cadaqués taking this route southbound and returning much faster along the autoroute E-15.
